Creating Safe Spaces and Resilient Futures
At Center for Child Counseling, we are dedicated to guiding children and families through the journey from trauma to hope. Our campaign, From Trauma to HOPE: Creating Safe Spaces and Resilient Futures focuses on building healthy relationships and secure environments that protect children from harm, help them heal, and foster resilience to ensure they thrive.
Why This Work Matters
In the absence of healthy, buffering relationships, adverse childhood experiences and trauma can profoundly affect the developing child's brain and body. We focus on providing children with the safety and support they need to heal and thrive after their lives have been torn apart by trauma, creating safe relationships and secure environments that promote healing and resilience.
Over the past year our CEO, Renée Layman, received certification as a HOPE Champion through the HOPE National Resource Center at Tufts Medical Center. As a certified HOPE Champion, she is leading our organization and community to create a fundamental shift in our systems. By focusing on promoting positive childhood experiences (PCEs) and the building blocks of HOPE to the foundation for health and well-being.
Promoting HOPE
Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences, or HOPE, is at the foundation of our work. Promoting HOPE means building healthy relationships through Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) - the antidote to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma.
Whether you are interested in building trauma-informed skills and knowledge, speaking out on behalf of those who have been affected, investing in innovative solutions like CFCC's Data Dashboard, or making a financial contribution to support CFCC's emergency fund or programs, there is a place for you in our important mission.
We are launching From Trauma to HOPE to build awareness and action that promotes the protection and healing for children experiencing or recovering from trauma. The need has never been more urgent. We need your support to help more children and educate the adults who live and work with children to support and protect them.
