That's the Relationships Building Block of the HOPE framework, and it's the piece we keep coming back to. A child can walk through real adversity and still come out whole if there is one steady, caring adult standing next to them.

Meeting kids where they already are
Our staff worked across 35 sites this summer, and at six of them we ran special summer programming — taking mental health support directly into the libraries, community centers, and after-school clubs where kids and families already spend their time.
Responding when it matters most
This quarter brought hard news for our community: headlines about child sexual abuse involving a leader people knew and trusted. News like that could have left us discouraged. Instead, our team spent August building tools families could reach for right away.
Putting steadiness into tools people can use
We turned this quarter’s theme into things a caregiver can actually open at 9pm on a hard night. Our HOPE Resource Hub went live, our AI-powered HOPE Assistant launched, and a new blog series began.
The Relationship
That Held Her
At 13, Savannah was carrying more than any child should have to. She'd just lost her father, and the grief showed up in her body as much as her heart. Her pediatrician referred her to us, and she began working with Jamie, one of our clinicians.
What Savannah needed most wasn't a quick fix. It was a steady, caring adult in her corner. Then, just as they were preparing to end treatment, her mother passed away too. Jamie met her in that grief again, and worked alongside her caregiver to build the skills to be a grounding presence at home. What started as one relationship Savannah could count on became two.
Savannah did the hard work of grieving twice and healing once.
By her final session, the clinical assessment tracking her emotional and social wellbeing had nearly cut in half. Your support makes sure a child like her has that steadiness when she needs it most.

I want to say something directly to you — not as a CEO writing a letter, but as someone who has reflected on what your generosity makes possible, day after day, for thirteen years.
I've sat with therapists as they describe the moment a child speaks for the first time about what happened to them. I've seen teachers leave our trainings with a new language for what they're seeing in their classrooms, and new tools to respond with compassion instead of frustration.
None of that happens without you. Not a single moment of it.
