Some Days Feel Way Too Big

When you get really mad, or really left out, or really frustrated, your body speeds up and your brain stops helping. That happens to everybody. The trick is knowing what to do next, and that part you can practice.

These games are free. Nobody is grading you. Play them as many times as you want.

Three Games, No Sign-Up

The SNAP® Arcade

These are not quizzes. Each one trains something your brain actually uses when a feeling gets huge. Beat your own score, collect the badges, come back and beat it again.

Snap Reflex

When the dragon turns green, tap fast. When it turns magenta, do nothing at all. Not tapping is the hard part, and it is the exact muscle you use when you stop yourself in real life.

Cool Thought Swap

Every hard moment comes with a thought attached, and some thoughts pour gas on it. Read what happened, see the thought that showed up, then pick the thought that keeps the problem small.

Problem Sizer

Reacting to a small problem like it is huge is how small problems grow. Sort each one by how big it actually is. Big problems are not bad, they just need a grown-up instead of a plan of your own.

Try It At Home

The SNAP® Dragon's Corner

Three games built by Center for Child Counseling, free to play as many times as you want. Chase a high score, unlock badges, and get better at the skills that make hard moments smaller.

Tap for gentle tones that guide the breathing and the cards.

Name That Feeling

Act out the feeling with no words while everyone else guesses. Play relaxed in Practice, race the clock as a team, or take on Boss Level, where every card comes with a Dragon Rule that changes how you have to act it out.

Dragon Breath

Four different breathing patterns for four different kinds of moments. Rate how big your feeling is before you start, breathe with the dragon, then rate it again and see what changed.

Keep It Small

Five situations, and every one has a twist coming. Watch the Problem Meter: good plans shrink it, big reactions grow it. Finish a run with the meter in the green and the dragon is impressed. There are twelve situations in the deck, so no two runs are the same.

For Grown-Ups

These activities are a warm-up, not a substitute for the program. If your child is having a hard time with anger, behavior, or self-control, SNAP® is free and we would be glad to talk with you.

Some Problems Are Too Big to Carry Alone

You just spent a while practicing what to do with the small and medium stuff. Big problems work differently. Those ones you hand to a grown-up, and that is not giving up. That is the plan.

My Three Grown-Ups

Think of three people you would actually tell. One at home, one at school, and one anywhere else. Knowing their names before something happens is the whole point.

Nothing you type here is saved or sent anywhere. It disappears when you close the page. It is just for you to think about.

That's your list.

Now say those three names out loud once. Kids who can name their grown-ups ahead of time are much faster at asking for help when it counts.

If you need someone right now

Tell any grown-up near you. You can also call or text 988 any time, day or night, and talk to someone for free. If somebody is in danger right now, call 911.

Grown-Ups, This Part Is Yours
Games are practice. SNAP® is the program.

Everything on this page rehearses one skill: noticing a feeling before it takes over, and choosing what happens next. It is a warm-up, not a substitute.

If a child in your life is having a hard time with anger, behavior, or self-control, SNAP® is a free thirteen-week program in Palm Beach County where children and their caregivers learn this together. There is no cost, and asking costs you nothing.
