Volunteer Opportunities and Requirements

Program Volunteer

Basic requirements for becoming a Center for Child Counseling volunteer providing direct services with children include:

  • Individuals 18+ who have had formal schooling or training in psychology, childhood development, and mental health.
  • Future aspirations to work as a clinician, social worker, or case manager.
  • Commit to at least 9 consecutive months of volunteering within a Center for Child Counseling program.
  • Dedicate at least 16 hours on site, to include but not limited to administrative tasks, client observations, assessments and group work or support.
  • Attend weekly program and group supervision.
  • Meet once a week with the assigned Center for Child Counseling Supervisor for Individual Supervision
  • Flexible availability, as clients and groups can be during and/or after school hours.

General Volunteers

At times, we have activities that include needing individuals to help with events or general office tasks. Activities vary depending on organizational needs, but may including organizing and sanitizing play rooms, helping set up for workshops, printing and organizing materials, marketing and outreach, and collecting donations.
